Meet Megan

What should you know about Megan? I'm originally from Ashland, Ohio ("Home of the World's Nicest People"), and I have three super little girls who are the loves of my life. My other love of my life is Gabe, a cool dude of whom I have to thank for ever purchasing my first DSLR. I'm sure he's regretting it now, especially when he's forced to be my assistant for photo sessions of our girls.

I am wordy. I love artichoke hearts and am not a fan of meat. Sparkly things always stop me in my tracks, and my husband complains I cannot, for the life of me, walk without bumping into anyone. I have been a newspaper reporter/client services team leader for a private aviation catering company, an admin assistant, and a freelance reporter in my former lives. I have always been that kid who tried EVERYTHING once but could never decide on what fueled my soul, hence why I know just a little bit about the flute and basson, softball, dance, even rugby. I have a penchant for words (obviously); numbers, not so much.

My transition to a photographer kind of just happened, and I'm still trying to figure out the process. People may say I'm a cheeseball, but I truly believe God has hand-picked each and every client and friend to partner with me in making and capturing their most beloved memories. Being a photographer is cool like that. :)

I LOVE lifestyle sessions and would rather do those than posed/studio/stylized sessions, but every once in awhile, I like to throw those in my portfolio mix as well.

My partner-in-crime, Clarissa, and I became good friends after developing a friendship stemming from one of the most magical sessions of my life: the birth of her daughter. It was beyond beautiful, it was amazing, and left me wanting to contact every hospital in Ohio, to offer this type of session. Again, God/fate/karma lead us to become good friends.

I'm looking forward to networking with other Ohio artists, as well as helping market our beautiful crafts to our fellow Ohioans.
